Re: E-mail is dead, deader, deadest

No problem with Mr Mouse.  He scurries, chases lady mice, and works out on the exercise wheel in other applications.  I experienced the same dead-mouse problem under Edge and Chrome.  To be completely accurate, I should say that Mr Mouse worked intermittently, perhaps 1/4 of the time. He refused to set the cursor within text and to work the formatting buttons.  On the other hand, he would always work the elevator bar and browser functions correctly.

But Mr Mouse is the least of my current problems this week, since I cannot even log on to see my incoming messages.

Sign In for 2 Weeks is not working on one of my browsers (IE11). It is working on my Microsoft Edge browser. It looks like the techs have been working on the My Verizon page and that might be the reason. I wish Verizon would stop changing things and leave good enough alone.

Moving to new address that does not have fios how or can I keep my verizon.net email addresses

Hi Everyone,

I am moving and Fios is not offered in my new home. Is it possible to keep my familys email addresses from verizon that we have used for the past 6 years?  I have so many accounts on the address and if not is there a period where I can still access to make sure that I have switched all over to a new email if I cannot keep it?

Thanks so much for your help in advance.

Turns out this is a known, but unresolved problem with Apple. Call Verizon tech support (*611) and ask to be put on the fix notification list.

Your in luck.  They changed it so that as long as you keep using it (pulling email at least once in every six months) you can keep it.  Note however they are planning (or at least were before yahoo purchase) to move the email  to AOL.com(a Verizon company).  When that happens you will have a limited time to login to the AOL.com site (USING EXISTING EMAIL ID) to claim your email or you will lose all your email.  You will be asked some questions and requested to chose a new password (although if you want you can chose the same one you were using.

Note after you move to AOL you can continue to use the same POP/SMTP settings you are currently using but will have to logon to http://mail.aol.com to use web access.

bad customer service, trying to reach someone that can help in Verizon

This is in regards to account number {edited for privacy}

I have signed up online for this account and for another account located in New Jersey as I do have two homes (wife and kids live temporary away) and so got two accounts. For this account the promotion was supposed to be a $59.99 double play package along with a $12 credit each month if I signed up for three or more TVs and a $200 visa card as a l gift if I do it online. I did all that and when I called in to schedule installation date the agent who got my call was unfortunately to me not that well qualified to finish it up so she changed many things without even telling me and she said that she kept everything as is and I just figured out after receiving my first bill that I'm getting my bill monthly being $69.99 not the agreed upon $59.99, and I have not received the credit for the receiver nor the credit for the online promotion of two hundred dollars.

I called into customer service at least four times over the past one month plus and I was promised also by another agent on July 14 and one more time on July 28 that it is going to be taken care off,  and when I called yesterday and today they told me unfortunately we cannot offer more than $4.99 credit monthly not $10 that would reflect the original  package. They did not do anything about the other two things that I was supposed to get including the credit of $200 and the free receiver monthly which I was promised online. And interestingly when I told him why don't you just cancel this account and have me re-order it online they said it is now too late as you had 30 days to cancel now you have to pay the cancellation fee. So I'm just not pleased with the way this has been handled from the beginning as you can see and look into the notes please..

Thanks

Hi badermd,

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.

Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Blocked IP Address / Whitelist Request

Hi,

Our domain has been blocked for months.  I have filled out your whitelist form numerous times with the same generic emailed response and never a resolution and I cannot find the form referenced in the email.

After investigation, Verizon Online Security has determined that e-mail from your IP address will not be allowed access to the Verizon Online e-mail domain due to one or more of the following reasons:

Your IP has been blocked because of spam issues or because your ISP indicates that it is dynamically assigned

Once you have addressed any security-related issues on your network, you should contact Verizon Online Security via this form. At that time, we will work with you to restore normal e-mail traffic or to take other action as we deem appropriate.

We have a dedicated IP, we have SPF records, we do not spam, and we are not on any blacklist.  I've tested our domain on MXtoolbox, wiseTools, and Mail Tools (to name a few) and they all show good reports.  I've consulted an email company but they say there is't anything they can fix on the back end because there  isn't anything wrong.

I'm requesting that our issue get escalated to an agent.

Thank you.

Re: How to create an email account?

I was wondering the same thing. I just recently signed up for FIOS internet service only. There is no option in profile-account settings to create an account. I did a live chat with someone from Verizon online and they told me that Verizon no longer provides email accounts but I find this hard to believe. Does anyone know the answer?

Not sure why you can't find a page to create a EMAIL ID.  Used to be very obvious.

However they are in the middle of moving everyone to aol.com (while keeping their existing @verizon.net ids).  If you don't care you can just go to aol.com and create an @aol.com userid.  AOL is a Verizon company.

New Fios Dashboard - getting to email

I noticed with this new layout, it takes 2 clicks now to get to my email. Used to be one.

Now i need to click 'More' and then i need to click 'All Emails'.  Please add a direct link to email so we can go directly to our webmail. Is there a way to go right to email through this new dashboard?? That is what i use it for mostly.

Help with Whitelist Request

I need assistance in getting my server IP added to the white list. All my IPs are dedicated to my server, which is a dedicated server too (no possible way to be dynamic). We double-checked the server and there is no suspicious activity whatsoever. We verified that there is no spamming or bad reputation for the IP address at any database (100% secure).

I followed the instruction on the rejected email, filling the Whitelist Request form, but always received the same response:

After investigation, Verizon Online Security has determined that e-mail from
your IP address will not be allowed access to the Verizon Online e-mail
domain due to one or more of the following reasons:

Your IP has been blocked because of spam issues or because your ISP
indicates that it is dynamically assigned

Your help getting our IPs whitelisted will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi cstrovers,

If you live in California, Florida or Texas, Frontier assumed your Verizon account on April 1st.  Prior to that date you should have received an email notification about migrating your Verizon email account to AOL.  Please see the AOL FAQs for information about migrating your account after the cut-off date.  You may also contact AOL HERE.  If they are unable to assist you, you will need to escalate this with Frontier.
